Protecting Our Environment
As Supervisor, I led the effort to create the largest municipal solar facility in the United States. Through a public-private partnership, 25,000 solar panels have been installed on the Sunset Reservoir to power public facilities. This facility will triple the City’s solar energy and created 71 new jobs.
Helping Families and Women
Domestic violence is one of the leading causes of homelessness for women and children in San Francisco. As a member of the Board of Supervisors, I passed protections that allow women and families who are victims of domestic abuse to stay in their homes without the fear their abuser will return.
